Prosthetic Stage of Implant Treatment in Missing Incisor Cases

Replacement of missing anterior tooth by implant is often associated with difficulties, particularly in case of central incisor. The choice of surgical and prosthetic procedure may influence the final result but positive and negative factors have to be evaluated from the start. Several anatomical limitations may preclude the ideal outcome of prosthetic treatment.

Coated implants representing one of modern trends in implantology have been the subject of our investigation.After detailed technical tests of three different types of samples - titanium alloy TiAl6V4, titanium alloy covered with zirconium and titanium alloy covered with hydroxyapatite with a zirconium interlayer, the authors tested proliferation and metabolic activity of human embryonic lung fibroblasts in the neighborhood of the samples. Fluoride Content in Bottled Waters Used in the Nutrition of Infants and Toddlers

Fluoride content of bottled waters from the customers foodproducts basket in the Czech Republic 2005-2006 was analysed electrochemically. It was found that bottled waters for infants contained no more than 0.1 mg of fluoride per litre as well as the substantial part of bottled spring waters suitable for infants. An exception is the brand GOOD WATER (Dobrá voda) which contained about under 0.7 ppm of fluoride. The recognizable fluoride content was additionally found in croatian product RADENSKA (0.3-0.6 ppm of fluoride). Comparison of Reliability of Vth and VIth Generation Adhesive Systeme by Thermocycling

The target of the thestudy was to compare the reliability of adhesive systems of Vth. and VIth generation by thermocycling according to method ISO/TS 11405:2003 (E). For comparison there were chosen two representatives from each group - from the Vth generation materials Single Bond Adper and Prime&Bond NT and from the VIth generation materials Prompt-L Pop Adper and Xeno III. The materials of the Vth generation were combined with advised etching gels and by all adhesives the directions for use were strictly followed. Influence of Acidic Environment on Oral Cavity in Patients with Gastroesophageal Reflux

The submitted rewiew presents a relationship between gastroesophageal reflux disease ( GERD) and oral health. The main affection in the mouth is a dental erosion. Dental erosion is defined as the progressive loss of hard dental tissues caused by a chemical process not involving bacterial action. Important by loss of tooth surface is also salivary production and buffering capacity. We modified the Eccles-Jenkins tooth wear index with fillings and prosthetics restorationes.

Oral cavity is frequently or permanently exposed to a wide spectrum of compounds, some of which possess irritation or sensitization potential. Persons who are subjected to stomatological treatment and use oral hygiene are exposed to growing number of new, technologically more complex biomaterials, which may lead, due to hypersensitivity, to discomfort in oral cavity.
