Aim of study was to evaluate osseointegration of the KrF laser hydroxylapatite coated titanium alloy Ti6A14V dental implants. For deposition KrF excimer laser in stainless-steel deposition chamber was used. Thickness of HA films were round 1 mm. Mini-pigs were used in this investigation. Implants were placed vertically into the lower jaw. After 14 weeks unloaded osseointegration the metal ceramic crowns were inserted. The experimental animals were sacrificed (a half of year post insertion). The vertical position of implants was controlled with a radiograph. Microscopic sections were cut and ground. Sections were viewed using microscope with CCD camera. Six months osseointegration in lower jaw confirmed by all implants presence of newly formed bone around the all implants. In case of laser-deposited coating the layer of fibrous connective tissue was seen only seldom. In the control group (titanium implant without cover) the fibrous connective tissue was seen between implant and newly formed bone.
