Authors compared changes in periodont in 609 rhesus monkey skulls with a group of 610 rhesus monkeys bred in 1982-1996 in the Research Institute for Pharmacy and Biochemistry Konárovice. In spite of the high occurence of the tartar the periodontopathies were observed rarely (0,5 %), mostly in indisposed and sick individuals. In the group of 15-22 years old monkeys the atrophy of periodont and physiological teeth loss were found. From the mucousal diseases only aphts were rarely observed.
