In the total saliva of voluntary donors with a different index of bleeding time of the interdental papillae the authors assessed, on the basis of saliva the capacity to inhibit lipidperoxidation, its antioxidant activity. Between the groups with a higher and lower index of haemorrhagic diathesis the activity did not differ significantly. The same applies to the uricacid level, described as the main antioxidant of total saliva.
