Dislocation of the Artricular Disc of the Temporomandibular Joint

Temporomandibular joint disorders are characterized by pain, limited or asymmetric mandibular movement and TMJ sounds. In as many as 70 % of patients the mentioned complains are caused by intracapsular derangement's of the components of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) - disc displacement. Disc displacement are devided into: disc displacement with reduction and disc displacement without reduction. This paper is the review, where are described the clinical criteria for diagnostic of disc displacement are possible way of their treatment.
