Hypodontia of upper lateral incisors impacts not only aesthetics of upper front teeth, but also the function of dentition. Alternative therapeutic procedures build upon a complex analysis and a diagnostic examination of a patient, regarding patient's requirements and his individuality. In this article, we describe our long and good experience with closing the space resulting from a genesis of upper lateral incisors, by positioning the canine in the lateral incisor's position, and followed by aesthetic reconstruction of the teeth using direct veneering technique. We monitor the efficacy and stability of the therapy with a regard to biological approach and minimally invasive techniques. Nevertheless, such an approach assumes favourable gnatological conditions. Our aim is to achieve a long-lasting and satisfactory results without any occlusal disturbances.
