Tests for Efficiency of Full Denture Substitution Made by the Method of Gerber

The paper deals with the evaluation of the mastication efficiency in a group of 38 pacients with old full denture substitutions and the same group with full denture substitution made by the method according to Gerber. The authors also evaluated the mastication efficiency in a control group of 11 patients with natural teeth, and the results of evaluation were compared with those of the group of patients with full denture substitution. The group of patients with full denture substitution made by the method according to Gerber revealed better results that the group of patients with old full denture substitution. The production of full denture substitution by the method according to Gerber definitely contributed to better results in the patients. The group of patients with natural teeth displayed the best results.
