In the year 19220 - 90 years ago - Jan Jesenský, professor of dentistry and stomatology realized the transformation of "dental ambulatory" in "dental department" - integral part of Faculty of Medicine in Prague. New founded institute had not only sections for all specialities of dentistry but also maxillo-facial section for patients' hospitalisation. Paper describes excellent pedagogical activities of Jesenský and his scientific work, concerned on jaws traumatology and comparative anatomy of teeth.

Introduction: In the last twenty years we can observe in modern society significant increase of fruit juices and carbonated soft drinks consumption.
