The authors investigated, using a light microscope, the structure of dental pulp after orthodontic traction with forces of 30 g and 40 g. The histological structure of dental pulp revealed only small deviations from control teeth not exposed to traction. Slight changes which were found in dental pulp are considered by the authors, in view of their localization, character and size, reversible with the exception of tertiary dentin formation. The force used can be considered feasible, biologically favourable and clinically effective.
