Sinus floor elevation (sinus lift) is a proven technique with predictable results. The article describes the maxillary sinus anatomy, sinus lift surgical technique and its indications. Additional considerations affecting the surgical outcome are also discussed. The learning objective of this article is to give up-to-date information regarding the basic technique of the sinus lift procedure to general practitioners as well as to specialists.
