Maxillofacial Trauma in Children

The author presents a group of children with maxillofacial trauma, treated at the Clinic of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of a Jessenius Medical Faculty, Comenius University and a Faculty Hospital in Martin (JLF UK and MFN) during a period of five years. They concentrate on a specific anatomical composition of a facial skeleton in children, psychical aspects, difficulties with examination and diagnostics. Based on the analysis of causes of traumain infants they refer to the possibilities to reduce the infant accident rate.
