Flash Dye Laser in the Treatment of Vasoformative Tissue Tumours

The authors demonstrate their clinical experience with the use of a Chromos 585 - flash dye laser of Scharplan Co. in treatment of 60OO patients with flat skin haemangiomas in the orofacial region. In all patients they recorded favourable results of treatment.
Use of Three-dimensional Reconstruction on a Spiral CT in the Diagnosis of a Hydraulic Fracture of the Orbital Floor

The authors draw attention to the advantages of a spiral CT apparatus in three-dimensional reconstruction of the structures of the facial skeleton. They demonstrate the advantages of the method on two patients with isolated retromarginal fracture of the orbitalfloor. In both instances high standard CT examination and three-dimensional imaging of the affected part of the skeleton served as the basis for therapeutic deliberations. In the conclusion the authors outline the possible use of high standard diagnostic equipment in future.
Facial Cutaneous Fistulas

The authors discuss the diagnostics and the treatment procedure of facial cutaneous fistulas. They present aethiologically different clinical observations. They emphasize the importance of the differential diagnostics of the illness and the importance of the eradication of the inflammatory centre, eventually of the foreign body.
Program of European Cooperation in the Field of Pregraduate Dental Education

DentEd is one of the 36 thematic projects aimed at the problems of Higher Education in the framework of the European Union. The program is oriented to the increasing of education standards and intensifying of international collaboration among European Universities with pregraduate dental/stomatological education. Exchange of experience is realized by means of expert group visits of single faculties. The Faculty of Medicine, Palacky University, was the first in the Czech Republic and outside of the European Union to join this project and, at the same time, the first Faculty outside of E.U. visited by an expert group.
