Authors describes the treatment in patient with large fixed bridge on maxillary teeth. On two abutments, both treated with post and core, but not correctly endodontically treated, periapical radiolucency appeared. Also pain and periodontal swelling appeared. Patient undergone repeated periapical surgery without releave from symptoms. Finally the post removal and correct endodontic treatment solved the problem.

The quality of the osseointegration of the dental titanium blades and cylindrical enosseal implants was compared at gram project IGA MZ ČR č. 4701-3, with the whole health condition of the patients with inserted implants, characterised by biomedcal testy of the blond and urine. We investigated 419 patients with implants. Evaluation did not made an injury between pathological measurements of the biochemical test and rate success - osseointegration of inserted implants. In a group of 1326 patients treated at the Clinic of Oral, Maxillary and Facial Surgery, Faculty Hospital and Medical Faculty Olomouc in 1974-1998 on account of malignant tumors of the orofacial region there were 31 patients (2.3%) with duplicit tumorous disease. These patients were treated on account of spinocellular carcinoma of the oral cavity and oropharynx, or the skin of the face and neck where in the course of treatment or after its termination another duplicit malignant tumor was diagnosed. Rational Method of Early Treatment of Anterior Crossbite

Simple reverse overbite or anterior crossbite is a dental malocclusion resulting from the abnormal axial inclination of the anterior teeth. It belongs to anomalies that lack so-called self correction tendency. During eruption of further incisors their wrong axial position gets f"ixed and negatively influences the affected incisors, their periodontium, jaws growth, functional occlusion, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and the patient's appearance. Guided Tissue Regeneration of the Periodontium and its Place in Orthodontic Treatment

The tase-history describes the methodical procedure of orthodontic treatment by a fixed device in an adult patient with a diastema between the upper middle incisors after guided tissue regeneration of the periodontium. Guided tissue regeneration is one of the possible therapeutic procedures in adult patients with the diagnosis of periodontitis. After termination of treatment with a fixed appliance permanent retention of the achieved state is essential.
Postal Audit of Intraoral Dental X-Ray Units

The National Radiation Protection Institute (NRPI) developed a method for independent postal quality audit of dental Intraoral X-ray units. Its aim is to make more effective and to complement the existing system of quality assurance in dental radiodiagnostics particularly considering the radiation safety of patients that arises from valid Czech laws. Use of Aulin© (Nimesulide) in the Treatment of Temporomandibular Dysfunctions

The author submits a study of the therapeutic effect of nimesulide (Aulin®) in pain of the temporomandibular joint. He compares the action of nimesulide with that of other non-steroid antiphlogistics - analgetics (NSAID). Nimesulide appears to be a useful therapeutic alternative in particular in patients with gastric and duodenal diseases (ulceration) or when for various reasons other NSAID failed.
Naevi in the Orofacial Region - an Epidemiological Study

The epidemiological study comprises patients treated by surgical intervention at the Clinic of Oral, Maxillary and Facial Surgery in Olomouc in 1997-1999. In 510 patients the authors excised 640 naevi in the orofacial region. The histological finding agreed with the clinical diagnosis in 444 (87%) patients.
